Billing
How am I billed?
Standard is $5 a month by card, plus anything over what's included, on one monthly bill. Free needs no card until you want public links.
How is storage measured?
In GB (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes), measured once a day across all your buckets. The usage page in the console shows where you stand.
What counts as a read or a write?
A read is a download or a look at a file (GET, HEAD). A write is an upload, a copy, a listing or a step of a multipart upload. Deletes are free.
What happens on Free at the limits?
Uploads pause at 5 GB or 50,000 writes in a month; at 500,000 reads, downloads pause until the month ends. Nothing is deleted. Move to Standard and everything carries on.
Is there a contract?
No. Move back to Free whenever your files fit in it again.
